IDCOL to Finance Solar Irrigation Projects of Gazi Renewable Energy Company Ltd.
Infrastructure Development Company Limited (IDCOL) signed Financing Agreement with Gazi Renewable Energy Company Limited (GREL) on 8 December 2016 for setting up one hundred and eighty six (186) solar irrigation pumps at different districts of the country. Under the Project, GREL will install one hundred & thirty four pumps in Birganj upazila, six pumps in Kaharole upazila, four pumps in Khanshama upazila of Dinajpur district, forty two pumps in Badarganj upazilla of Rangpur district and will procure and operate nine (9) tractors and nine (9) trailers for providing tillage and carrying services in the project sites. Total cost of the project is BDT 49.25 crore. IDCOL will provide BDT 17.89 crore as loan and BDT 23.91 crore as grant under the project. The fund for loan and grant will be sourced from Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and BCCRF fund managed by The World Bank.
IDCOL has a target of financing 1,500 solar irrigation pumps by 2018 and 50,000 by 2025 to replace diesel operated pumps in rural Bangladesh.

IDCOL financed the 1st Public Private Partnership (PPP) Project in Healthcare Sector of Bangladesh which will provide low cost dialysis services to un-affording patients and affordable dialysis to affluent patients while ensuring the same service quality. Real time software will help doctors monitor patients from any corner of the world. Sandor Dialysis Services Bangladesh Private Limited inaugurated the dialysis centre at the National Institute of Kidney Disease and Urology (NIKDU) on 30 November 2016. The inauguration ceremony was graced by Mr. Mohammed Nasim MP, Minister of Health and Family Welfare as Chief Guest, Mr. Rajeev Sindhi, Managing Director of Sandor, Mr. Jishnu Prasanna Mukherjee, First Secretary (Education) of the Indian High Commission, Dr. Abul Kalam Azad, Director General of DGHS, Dr. Mohammad Nurul Huda Lelin, Director of NIKDU and Mr. Mahmood Malik, CEO of IDCOL among others.

IDCOL Awarded for Best Presented Annual Reports 2015
IDCOL has been awarded the 1st Prize of the 'ICAB National Award for Best Presented Annual Reports 2015’ in the category of “Public Sector Entities”. The Trophy was handed over to Mr. Mahmood Malik, Executive Director & CEO, IDCOL at a ceremony organized at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel, Dhaka on 29th November, 2016. Mr. Tofail Ahmed, MP, Hon’ble Minister, Ministry of Commerce, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) evaluated annual reports in the context of organizational governance system, financial analysis, appropriate disclosure of accounting policies, presentation of financial statements and the criteria set by South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA) Committee for Improvement in Transparency, Accountability and Governance (ITAG) for adjudication of ICAB national award. The best annual reports under each category are also nominated by ICAB to compete in the South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA) forum for SAFA awards.

IDCOL Awarded as Country's Top Tax Payer
IDCOL has been awarded as the country’s ‘Top Taxpayer’ for the assessment year 2015-16 (fiscal year 2014-2015) in the category of “Non-Bank Financial Institutions” on 24 November 2016 at the award giving ceremony organized by the National Board of Revenue (NBR) in its new Headquarter at Agargaon in Dhaka.
On behalf of IDCOL, Mr. S. M. Monirul Islam, CFO & Deputy CEO (Current Charge), received the prestigious tax card award at the award ceremony where Mr. Abul Maal Abdul Muhit, Hon’ble Minister, Ministry of Finance, Government of the Peoples Republic of Bangladesh was present as the Chief Guest. This year the NBR awarded top taxpayers in 18 categories for individuals, 14 categories for companies and four categories for firms and other taxpayers at national level including banks, financial institutions, telecommunication, private and public sector manufacturing companies and many others as a recognition for their exemplary compliance.
Every year, Government of the Peoples Republic of Bangladesh honors the top taxpayers at the national level for depositing highest amount of taxes to the state as a gesture to influence others to be just as compliant. The award giving ceremony of this year also marked the beginning of Income Tax Week introduced by the NBR for the first time to provide better services to individual taxpayers.

IDCOL Honored UN Momentum for Change Award 2016
Bangladeshi company ME SOLshare Ltd, along with its partners Infrastructure Development Company Ltd (IDCOL), Upokulio Biddutayan O Mohila Unnayan Samity (UBOMUS), Centre for Energy Research at United International University and MicroEnergy International, was honoured with the Momentum for Change Award on Wednesday night.
The award was given during a ceremony with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon at the Conference of Parties 22 (COP22), the climate conference in Marrakech, Morocco.
The delegates from Bangladesh who accepted the award were Md. IDCOL wins ICMAB Best Corporate Award 2015
Infrastructure Development Company Limited (IDCOL) secured the First Position of ICMAB Best Corporate Award 2015 in the category of ‘Non-Bank Financial institutions’. Mr. Abul Maal Abdul Muhit, MP, Hon’ble Minister, Ministry of Finance, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh handed over the award to Mr. Mahmood Malik, Executive Director & CEO, IDCOL and Mr. S.M. Monirul Islam, Deputy CEO, IDCOL in an award giving ceremony held at capital’s Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel on 26 October 2016.

Experience Sharing Program for the Trainees of Climate Finance Course
IDCOL arranged an experience sharing session on renewable energy activities of IDCOL for the trainees of Climate Finance Course, coordinated and delivered by International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED) in collaboration with the International Center for Climate Change and Development (ICCCAD) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) on 2 February 2016. Forty trainees from Afganistan, Pakistan, Combodia, Thailand, Nepal, UK, and Switzerland participated in the program.
